Maple Research Alliance Program

The Maple Research Alliance Program is designed to increase and maintain consistent funding through an industry-wide network of container vendors who assist in the collection of voluntary contributions from syrup producers and syrup packers.

Participating industry vendors who make the commitment to support and promote the research and educational initiatives of the North American Maple Syrup Council are known as Alliance Partners.

Our Maple Research Alliance Partner’s solicit voluntary contributions from their customers at the time of invoicing of one penny for each maple syrup container they purchase. Their customers could be U.S. or Canadian maple syrup producers, producer associations, cooperatives, syrup packers, or other container distributors or dealers that are not active Alliance Partners.

As an alternative, an Alliance Partner may prefer to pay the penny per container to the Research Fund themselves as a cost of doing business rather than ask their customers for voluntary contributions. The choice is up to each vendor and regardless on how the penny finds its way to the NAMSC Research Fund it’s important to recognize the efforts of the Alliance Partners help fund future research in the maple industry.

Whether you produce a few gallons of syrup or a thousand, maple research will affect you. Research must continue in tree health, insect infestation, syrup production, product quality, packaging, marketing, syrup adulteration and a host of other concerns vital to the future of the maple industry. The Research Fund can not do it alone… we need the financial support of everyone to meet the financial and technical challenges.

The North American Maple Syrup Council, Inc. recognizes and thanks our Alliance Partners for their involvement and contribution of time and effort. We also sincerely appreciate the maple producers and packers that regularly contribute to the Research Fund and, it’s also very important to recognize our qualified universities and research institutions for their dedication to maple industry research. This combination of resources working together will drive the future of the maple industry. If you are not yet involved, it’s time to do your share.

Contribute to the NAMSC Research Fund through our Alliance Partners and support the Maple Research Alliance Program.
